ABOUT
Hello, I’m James Hible – and I’m mad about football.
Think of me as a modern-day Statto: the nerdy sidekick to David Baddiel and Frank Skinner on the TV show, Fantasy Football League.
There’s nothing I don’t know about the beautiful game.
My ever-growing collection of football shirts stands at 200+. Football would be my Mastermind specialist subject. And my encyclopedic knowledge of sport makes me a handy addition to any pub quiz team.
Best of all – I’ve found a way to make football my business. Quite literally.
I’ve loved art since I was a child and could often be found drawing at home while friends ran around outside.
Since studying illustration as part of my art and design degree I’ve been able to combine my love of football and art into a fulfilling career.
Today, I create vibrant, colourful images of football and other sports as commissions for private clients, sporting magazines and die-hard sports fans.
I’ve created illustrations for The Gaffer, KIT Magazine and Libero, and for private clients – both as large-format artworks to display in their own homes or to give as gifts.
My illustrations are hand-drawn in Procreate then imported into Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop where I painstakingly refine and enhance them to be crisp and clear in even the largest of sizes.
From Michael Owen’s wonder goal in the 1998 World Cup match against Argentina (my personal favourite) to Patrick Mahomes in NFL action for the Kansas City Chiefs why not commission me to illustrate your favourite sporting moment – so you can relive it time and again.
